Hive Plug v3 (Left)/Hive Plug v2 (Right)

Checking Connection Status

  1. Open the Hive app.
  2. Click Manage (bottom right corner)
  3. Click My devices
  4. Alternatively, check the connection status on the homepage if it’s on your dashboard.

Troubleshooting Offline Hive Plug

  1. Check Power: Ensure it is switched on at the wall and has power.
  2. Test the Socket: Make sure it's not a fault with the socket, test in another to see if the Hive Plug will work.
  3. Reset if Necessary: If still offline, reset the plug (note: this clears saved schedules).
  4. Power Cycle: Turn the device off and on again to see if this resolves the issue.

Resetting Your Hive Plug

  1. For V2: Press and hold the button on the front.
  2. For V3: Press and hold the button on top.
  3. Hold for 10 seconds until the light double flashes amber, then release.

Reinstalling the Hive Plug

  1. Open the Hive app.
  2. Go to:
    • Manage (bottom-right corner)
    • Click Add a device
    • Click Other Hive devices
    • Click Other Hive devices
    • Click Start
  3. Your Hive Hub will search for and pair with your Hive Plug.
