Reset your Hive Wired Thermostat

Action

  1. Remove the Thermostat from the Wall:

    • Press the tab underneath the thermostat to remove it from the wall.
    • Take out one battery.
  2. Power Cycle the Boiler:

    • Turn off your boiler using the mains isolation switch (the lights will go out).
    • Turn it back on (the lights will come on).
  3. Reset the Thermostat:

    • Reinsert the battery into your thermostat.
    • Press and hold the back and menu keys (bottom left and middle) until the screen shows ‘factory reset’ and counts down from 10 to 0. Image
    • Release the buttons when ‘welcome’ appears. The thermostat will then display ‘searching’ with a timer.
  4. Repeat if Necessary:

    • If anything else appears on the thermostat screen, repeat step 3.
  5. Use the App to Complete Setup:

    • In the app, tap Manage > Install devices > Hive active heating > Add heating zone > Start > Find thermostat.
  6. Wait for the Hub to Find Devices:

    • The hub will search for devices. When found, the thermostat will display ‘let’s take a tour’.
  7. Stop the Hub from Searching:

    • Stop the hub from searching by backing out of the page. Your devices will show as online.
  8. Test the Boiler:

    • Raise the target temperature above the room temperature on the thermostat to test your boiler.
