Removing the Hive Radiator Valve

  1. Enter Install/Remove Mode:

    • Press the button under the screen for 3 seconds.
    • The valve will vibrate and display an "M" on the screen, indicating it has entered install/remove mode.
  2. Rotate the Valve:

    • Hold the valve on either side of the screen and rotate it anti-clockwise until the tab is visible.
  3. Remove the Casing:

    • Depress the tab and, while keeping it depressed, slide the casing off.
  4. Unscrew the Valve:

    • Depress the button next to the battery compartment.
    • While keeping the button firmly depressed, rotate the Hive Radiator Valve anti-clockwise to unscrew it from the valve body.

 NOTE: If the valve is stuck, arrange for a plumber or engineer to remove it to prevent any damage. 

Resetting the Hive Radiator Valve

  1. Remove a Battery:

    • Press the tab, slide the casing off, and remove one battery.
  2. Hold the Button:

    • Press and hold the button located below the screen.
  3. Reinsert the Battery:

    • While still holding the button, put the battery back into the Hive Radiator Valve.
    • Continue to hold the button for 5 seconds. The display will flash, and then all segments should light up. Remove your finger at this point.
  4. Use the App:

    • Open the app and navigate to: Manage > Install devices > Hive Active Heating > Radiator Valve > Get Started.
  5. Hub Searching:

    • The hub will start searching for devices. When found, the valve screen should return to the normal display.
  6. Stop the Hub:

    • Stop the hub from searching by backing out of the page. Your devices should now show as online.

Reattaching the Hive Radiator Valve

  1. Screw the Valve:

    • Screw the valve onto the adapter, rotating clockwise until you hear a click.
  2. Rotate the Casing:

    • Rotate the casing back the other way until you can see the screen.
