TIP: Hive Smart Heating is usually made from three main components. The thermostat (left), the receiver (centre), and the hub (right).

NOTE: The images above may look different from what you have in your home, as we have multiple versions of each. However, they all look relatively similar. The receiver is wired to your boiler and will have either one or two buttons at the bottom right (depending on the heating system you have) and the hub is usually connected to your broadband router.

If you're having trouble with your Hive Heating, we're here to help you get it back up and running! First, follow these simple steps to check if your Hive Hub is online.

  1. Log into Your App
Open the Hive app on your device.

  2. Manage Your Devices

    • Tap on Manage in the app menu.
    • Select Devices from the options.
  3. Check Device Status
This section will display the status of your Hive Hub and all connected devices. You’ll be able to see if:

    • Your hub is offline  TIP: If your Hive Hub is offline, all devices connected to it will show offline too. Therefore, please select Hub Offline if they are all showing as offline.
    • Only your receiver is offline
    • Only your thermostat is offline
    • Both your receiver and thermostat are offline

By following these steps, you can quickly identify the problem, and move onto the correct troubleshooting steps next.
