To ensure your Hive products operate at their best, it's crucial to position your Hive Hub correctly. Follow this guide to achieve optimal signal strength.

1. Avoid Low and Enclosed Spaces

   • Do not place your hub directly on the floor or in enclosed areas, like cupboards.
   • Keep it away from large metal objects that can obstruct the signal.

2. Understand Zigbee Range

   • Your Hive devices communicate locally using a ZigBee network. The range is comparable to Wi-Fi, and similar factors that affect Wi-Fi can also impact ZigBee performance.
   • Each Hive device has a Zigbee range of approximately 10 metres in all directions.
   • Be aware that thick walls can significantly reduce this range.

3. Elevate Your Hub

   • Raise your hub off the ground to improve signal reception.
