Standalone: Re-connecting Your Hive 1 Thermostat to the Receiver

Action

  1. Remove the Thermostat from the Wall:

    • Press the two side buttons on the thermostat.
    • Slide it up off the wall and remove one battery.
  2. Move to the Receiver:

    • Take your thermostat to the receiver, usually located near the boiler or hot water tank. 
  3. Power Cycle the Boiler:

    • Turn off your boiler using the mains isolation switch (the lights will go out).
    • Turn it back on (the lights will come on).
  4. Activate Pairing Mode on the Receiver:

    • Press and hold the central heating button (bottom right) on your receiver until the status light (top right) changes to single flashing pink.
    • If it flashes orange, release and press again until it changes to a single flashing pink.
  5. Pair the Thermostat:

    • Press and hold the + and – buttons simultaneously on the front of your thermostat. 
    • While holding the buttons, reinsert the battery into the thermostat.
    • When the word ‘find’ appears on the screen, release the buttons.
  6. Repeat if Necessary:

    • If anything else appears on the thermostat screen, repeat step 5.
  7. Wait for the Thermostat to Connect:

    • The thermostat will now search for the receiver.
    • When found, the receiver’s status light (top right) will turn solid green, and the thermostat should display the normal screen.
  8. Test the Boiler:

    • Raise the target temperature above the room temperature on the thermostat to test your boiler.
