Answer

If you have purchased Hive for a Self Installation

Our receivers are designed to be connected to mains power, utilising permanent live and neutral connections.

The single-channel receiver features “dry contacts” or “zero volt contacts,” functioning as a switch that connects the signal input terminal (labeled as “Common” in our installation guide) to either the normally open (Heating on) or normally closed (Heating off) output terminals. This receiver can handle both low voltage and mains voltage boiler control signals, with the voltage to be switched connected to the Common terminal.

The two-channel receiver is exclusively for mains voltages, providing mains output voltages on its heating and hot water on/off terminals.

For detailed installation instructions, refer to the installation guide provided.

Safety Note: For safety and optimal performance, it is essential that these installations are carried out by a qualified professional.
