Hive now supports integration with Apple Home for Hive Active Heating (current thermostat models), Hive Radiator Valves, Hive Lights (all models), and Hive Plugs.

Quick Action Siri Shortcuts:

  • Setup:
    1. Open the Hive app on your iPhone.
    2. Tap on Actions.
    3. Select an existing Quick Action or create a new one.
    4. Tap Add to Siri.
    5. Record a phrase (e.g., “Movie night”).
    6. Tap Done.
  • Tip: Use with Siri on Apple Watch (watchOS 5 or later) or HomePod.

Hive View Siri Shortcuts:

  • Setup:
    1. Open the Hive app and go to your Hive View or Hive View Outdoor camera.
    2. Tap on the settings icon.
    3. Select Siri Shortcuts.
    4. Tap Add to Siri.
    5. Record a phrase (e.g., “Check living room”).
    6. Tap Done.

Using Siri with Hive Devices:

Once your Hive devices are connected to Apple Home, you can control them using Siri by saying commands like:

  • “Set my heating to 21 degrees” (or your desired temperature)
  • “Turn the heating off”
  • “What’s the temperature in my home?”
  • “Make it warmer” (sets the target temperature to 1 degree above the current temperature)
  • “Turn the bedroom light on”
  • “Set the living room lights to 30%”
  • “Living room 100% brightness”
  • “Dim all the lights”
  • “All lights off”
  • “Make my lights purple” (or any color you prefer, for color lights only)
  • “Turn my desk plug off”
