Answer

The Hive Heating Frost Protection feature is designed to activate automatically when the temperature drops below 7°C. Its purpose is to prevent frozen pipes. Here’s how you can manage it:

Directly on the Thermostat:

  1. Press the menu button (usually located in the middle).

  2. Navigate to settings and select frost protection temp.

  3. Adjust the frost protection temperature within the range of 7-12 degrees by turning the dial.

  4. Confirm the change by pressing the tick button.

If you’re using the Hive app, you can activate Frost Protection by turning your heating to ‘Off’ in the app.

NOTE: You cannot set the temperature below 7°C or above 12°C.

CAUTION: This feature is only available on Hive 2 and Hard Wired thermostats.
