How to Use the Child Lock Feature on Your Hive Radiator Valve

Answer

  1. Access the Hive App: Open the Hive App on your device.
  2. Navigate to Hive Radiator Valve Control: Go to the selected Hive Radiator Valve control page.
  3. Access Settings: Look for the cog icon (usually in the top right corner of the screen).
  4. Enable or Disable Child Lock: In the settings, select “Child Lock” from the dropdown menu.
    1. Toggle it ON or OFF based on your preferences.

Important Note:

  • When Child Lock is active, adjustments to the target temperature must be made through the Hive App.
  • If Child Lock is inactive, manual adjustments are possible both on the Hive Radiator Valve and via the app.

  TIP: Are you twisting the top of your TRV but cannot see the temperature change on its screen? Check the app to see if Child Lock is active; it might be the reason for this behaviour.
