We understand that moving home can be a busy time, so we have a Home Move process to help both the current owner and the new owner continue their Hive journey smoothly.
When selling your property, it is a legal obligation to leave working heating controls for the next occupant. Therefore, you should not remove the receiver and thermostat from the property. Instead, take your Hive Hub and any other Hive devices with you to your new home, leaving the receiver and thermostat behind.
Follow these steps to detach the hub:
NOTE: Ensure the hub has turned solid green before onboarding to the new account. The Hive Hub will now return to its normal state, and you will be able to link the hub to your email via the Hive App.
