Answer

Why is my boiler turning off before my home has reached the target temperature?

We understand that you might be puzzled when your boiler turns off before your home reaches the desired temperature. This is actually a feature of our thermostat designed to enhance your comfort and energy efficiency.

The Feature: TPI

We’ve introduced a feature called TPI (Time Proportional & Integral control) to address this issue. This feature enables our thermostat to calculate how quickly your home heats up. It then has the ability to shut your boiler off just before your room reaches the target temperature.

The residual heat from your radiators will then bring your room up to the right temperature. This way, you won’t use energy unnecessarily, helping you save on your energy bills.

Protecting Your Boiler

Another advantage of the TPI feature is that it prevents your boiler from cycling too quickly. It ensures a 5-minute gap between two ‘on’ periods to protect your boiler from wear and tear.

We hope this explanation helps you understand why your boiler might turn off before your home has reached the target temperature.
