Checking Connection Status

  1. Open the Hive app.
  2. Navigate to “Manage Devices” in the app menu.
  3. Alternatively, check the connection status on the homepage if it’s on your dashboard.

Troubleshooting Offline Hive Plug

  1. Check Power: Ensure it is switched on at the wall and has power.
  2. Reset if Necessary: If still offline, reset the plug (note: this clears saved schedules).
  3. Power Cycle: Turn the device off and on again to see if this resolves the issue.

Resetting Your Hive Plug

  1. For V2: Press and hold the button on the front.
  2. For V3: Press and hold the button on the top.
  3. Hold for 10 seconds until the light double flashes amber, then release.

Reinstalling the Hive Plug

  1. Open the Hive app.
  2. Go to:
    • Add
    • Install New Device
    • Install Hive Devices
    • Other Hive Devices
  3. Your Hive Hub will search for and pair with your Hive Plug.
