How Do I View My EV Charging History?

You can easily view your EV charging sessions, including energy usage and cost, directly in the Hive app.

Follow the steps below to access your charging history. 

Benefits of viewing your charging history 

Viewing your charging history can help you better understand and manage your EV usage: 

  • Energy Management: Monitor your energy consumption to make informed decisions about your charging habits.
  • Cost Tracking: Keep an eye on your expenses to manage your budget effectively.
  • Usage Insights: Understand your charging patterns to optimise your EV usage and plan your charging sessions more efficiently. 

By regularly checking your charging history, you can stay informed about your energy usage and costs, helping you to make smarter decisions about your EV charging habits. 

View your EV charging history 

  1. Open the Hive app and select your EV Charger from the home screen.
  2. On the EV Charger screen (showing “Ready to charge”), tap the chart icon in the top-right corner.
  3. This will take you to the EV Charging History screen.

View individual charging sessions (Activity) 

By default, you’ll see the Activity tab, which shows a list of your recent charging sessions. 

Here you can: 

  • See the date and time of each charge
  • View the energy used (kWh)
  • Tap on a session to view more details 

Use the toggle at the top of the screen to switch between: 

  • ⚡Energy (kWh)
  •  £  Cost (£)

View a summary of your charging 

  1. Tap the Summary tab at the top of the screen.
  2. You’ll see an overview of your charging, including: 
    1. Total energy used or total cost
    2. Average usage per month
    3. A breakdown of peak and off-peak charging

Change the time period and view 

You can customise how your data is displayed using the controls at the top of the Summary screen: 

  • Select M (monthly) or Y (yearly) views
  • Toggle between:  
    • ⚡Energy (kWh)
    •  £  Cost (£) 

Scroll down to see a monthly breakdown showing how your charging is split across different times of use.

Power+ information (if applicable) 

If you're using Power+, you’ll also see: 

  • Total cost and average per month
  • A breakdown of peak and off-peak costs
  • Any credit earned
