Starting from the 20th March 2025, new Hive EV Charging customers will receive £20 of charging credit to use at Zap-Pay enabled EV chargers, available at thousands of locations across the UK.

Information About Your Hive Charging Card

How will I receive my £20 credit?

  • After your charger has been set up and activated, you will receive an email containing instructions and your activation code for your £20 Zapmap credit.
  • This email will be sent to the email address you have registered with the Hive app.

Up until the 27th February 2026, you may have been issued a charging card alongside your digital code. How do I get a replacement charging card? (Damaged/Lost/Stolen)

  • We will no longer be supplying physical cards. Therefore, we are unable to replace damaged, lost, or stolen cards; however:
    • You can freeze your Hive Charging Card from the Zapmap app.
    • Contact Zapmap Support for any additional support

How to redeem your £20 credit in three easy steps

  1. Download the Zapmap app from the Apple App Store or Google Play and set up an account.
  2. Head to the settings menu in the app and tap 'Charging credit'.
  3. Enter your activation code: <<VOUCHER>>

How to use the £20 credit

You can use your £20 credit to pay for charging at thousands of EV chargers across the UK.

Open the app and you'll see a map view showing you the location of different EV chargers. Tap on the filters icon and select the payment filter, and you can choose to only see chargers where you can pay either in the Zapmap app or with a Zapmap charging card.

Choose your charger and pay with Zapmap, and your credit will automatically be put towards the cost of your charge.

Your credit runs out on 30 September 2026 and can't be exchanged for cash, so use it before it expires.
