After you’ve onboarded your EV charger to the Hive app, setting up Power+ is simple. The app will guide you through the process, but here’s a guide of how to do it:
- Navigate to the EV Charger Settings:
- Open the Hive app
- Go to the EV Charger settings menu
- Tap on ‘Schedule’
- Select Power+:
- If eligible, the Power+ option will display with other scheduling options underneath
- Get started:
- You’ll be provided with information about Power+
- Tap ‘Let’s get started’ to begin the setup
- Read Information Screens:
- Follow the on-screen instructions and read through the information provided
- Understand credits:
- Learn how credits are calculated and applied to your account.
- Link your British Gas account:
- Connect your British Gas account to complete the setup.

Hive Wallet
Hive Wallet will provide a snapshot view of your savings and credit earned when using FreeCharge or Power+ for EV charging.
Access to your Hive Wallet is simple. All you need to do is:
- Tap into your EV charger in the Hive app
- Tap on the graph icon in the top right
- Once you are on the activity summary page and you can see your total Power+ credit

Tap on the arrow in the credit box and this will take you through to your wallet.
Here, you will be able to view:
- Total Power+ credits earned
- ‘This month’ snapshot including number of charging sessions, average cost per charge and average charge duration
- Credits per day
