Understanding Schedule Assist

Schedule Assist is a feature included with Hive+ that learns your home’s heating patterns and provides personalised suggestions to optimise your schedule. It shows you how much energy or money you could save—tap “Yes” to apply the smart adjustments instantly.

How to Access Schedule Assist

• Open the Hive app and navigate to the Insights or Manage tab.
• When recommendations become available, Schedule Assist will appear as a suggestion—often with phrasing like “You could save X today” or “Optimise your schedule to save £X”.
• Tap “Yes” to accept the suggestion—the app will automatically apply the more efficient heating schedule for you.

How It Works

Schedule Assist analyses your heating habits—like when and how long rooms are heated, thermostat and radiator usage, and external temperatures. By understanding these patterns, it generates recommendations designed to maintain comfort while reducing energy usage, letting you save effortlessly.

What to Expect

• A short push notification or app prompt alerts you when savings are available.
• Suggestions typically include small tweaks to timing or temperature settings.
• Once accepted, the recommended schedule is updated instantly - no manual input required.
• You can revisit or revert any changes through Manage → Schedule Assist history.
