Answer

If your solar devices are showing as offline, don’t worry—here’s a quick guide to help you get them back online.

TIP: Your Hive Hub is your connection to the internet. It's usually plugged directly into the back of your broadband router via an Ethernet cable.

Step 1: Check Your Hive Hub Connection

Your Hive Hub connects your solar system to the Hive app. If it’s offline, your solar devices won’t show up.

To check:

  • Open the Hive app.
  • Tap Manage > Devices
  • Look for ‘Hub’ in the list. It will say either ‘Connected’ or ‘Offline’.

If it says ‘Offline’, see Hive Hub Offline to help you get it back online.

Step 2: Restart Your Hive Hub

If the Hub is online but your solar devices are still offline, try restarting the Hive Hub.

How to restart:

  1. Find your Hive Hub—it’s the device next to your internet router, connected with an ethernet cable.
  2. Unplug the power cable.
  3. Wait 5–10 minutes.
  4. Plug it back in. The light will flash green while rebooting, then turn solid green when ready.

Go back to the Hive app and check if your solar devices are now online.

Step 3: Check for Signal Issues

If your devices are still offline, they might have a weak signal to the Hub. See Optimal Placement for Your Hive Hub for tips to improve signal strength.
