Answer

This document outlines how Daikin heat pumps integrate with the Hive App (Works with Hive) to provide:

  • Space heating control
  • Domestic hot water (DHW) control
  • Onboarding process and requirements
  • Using the Hive app

NOTE: The Hive integration relies on Daikin’s Onecta API, and the heat pump must support remote connectivity.

Onboarding & Requirements

To connect a Daikin heat pump to Hive:

  1. In the Hive App: go to Add devicesWorks with HiveDaikin.
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts.
  3. Users must already have a working Onecta account linked to their heat pump.

Heat Pump Requirements

  • Must support remote connectivity (Wi-Fi / gateway / wireless module).
  • Must work in Daikin’s Onecta app.
  • Hive will initially display the target temperature and mode from the Onecta API.
